2-DAY STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COURSE by prof. Carlo Buzzichelli

This intensive 2-day certification course provides a comprehensive foundation in contemporary strength and conditioning theory and practice. Led by prof. Carlo Buzzichelli, Head of Performance at SGA Group and former Olympic team coach.

The program integrates planning principles with practical program design applications. Day 1 establishes the theoretical framework for training periodization and introduces program design fundamentals, while Day 2 focuses on strength training periodization, energy system development, and hands-on gym applications.

Participants will gain practical tools for designing, implementing, and progressing training programs across various athlete populations and performance objectives.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Total Contact Hours: 13 hours of expert-led instruction.
  • Theory Sessions: ~11 hours of in-depth concepts and strategies.
  • Practical Application: ~2 hours of hands-on demonstrations by prof. Carlo Buzzichelli.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Know the theory of periodization and analyze training plans.
  • Periodize strength training for all sports.
  • Select the strength, speed and endurance methods to be used in each phase of an annual plan.
  • Manipulate the strength and conditioning training variables to obtain the desired training effect.
  • Create a neuromuscular profile of their athletes and select the appropriate training methods to enhance their performance.

THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED FOR:

  • Strength and conditioning coaches seeking systematic program design frameworks.
  • Personal trainers working with athletic populations.
  • Sport coaches wanting to integrate S&C principles into their training programs.
  • Exercise science students and recent graduates pursuing S&C careers.
  • Physical therapists transitioning athletes from rehabilitation to performance.
  • CrossFit/functional fitness coaches developing structured periodization approaches.

Prerequisites: Basic understanding of exercise physiology. Practical coaching or training experience recommended but not required.
