Coach in selected sports: strength and conditioning; boxing; judo; basketball; swimming; sport dancing, handball, aerobic gymnastics, baseball, rugby, sports for the disabled, volleyball, modern pentathlon.

WHY TO STUDY?

If you are athletic and want to become a professional sports coach, you should choose Sports Coaching study program at the Lithuanian Sports University. Upon completion of this program, you will gain a Bachelor degree of Sports  and a coach qualification. Studies at the university are based on the achievements of international level sports science. While studying, you will gain knowledge and skills of a successful coach to work with children, youth and adult athletes. During the studies, you will improve the knowledge of sports technique training, competition organization skills, you will learn to determine and evaluate the powers of athletes, and selected training programs based on the latest technologies. Experienced sports lecturers, researchers and practitioners working at the University, actively involved in international level sports sciences and basic level sports activities.

Under the “Erasmus+”  exchange program, you will be able to go to other European universities for part-time studies for two semesters and a 3-month internship period.

OBJECTIVES

The aim of this programme is to provide knowledge and skills to work in different areas related to coaching and to educate students to become sports coaches, skilled to promote participation in sport and to enhance the performance of athletes and teams.

 CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

A Bachelor diploma provides the qualification to work in sports clubs, to work as a teacher of informal education at secondary schools, colleges, public and private sports organizations.
