Students and staff can order desired publications that are not available in the University’s library from other Lithuanian and foreign libraries. Documents are not available to order from Kaunas city libraries.
Documents received through the IL are read in the reading room and the return time is specified by the library that sent the documents. For damaged or lost items borrowed through the IL, the user shall pay the price set by the sending library.
The postage costs for the forwarding of documents ordered through the IL, as well as the borrowing library’s lending fee (if required by the lending library), shall be borne by the user.
The Library’s books may be borrowed by other Lithuanian and foreign libraries. Printed matter in the reading rooms, rare and old, one-of-a-kind publications, periodicals, audio, visual and electronic documents, information and cartographic publications, art albums are not available for loan to other libraries.
