PROJECT DESCRIPTION |
The aim of the proposed project is to present interdisciplinary empirical research findings to facilitate the advancement of evidence-based practice in physical education (PE) by means of a reliable and valid diagnosis and an expert-based support concept for promoting physical activities as well as their broad dissemination in the partner countries and abroad. The diagnostic tool of the MOBAK-instrument is a core indicator of quality of output in PE. The newly developed MOBAK-instrument is a scientific diagnostic tool which is broadly accepted by researchers in the field of sport pedagogy and PE. This broad acceptance is demonstrated by the approval of 13 partners in the field of PE teacher education and policy of sport, exercise, and physical activity. The project brings together stakeholders from primary-level teacher education, PE, youth sport, and advocacy in physical activity promotion. This project has the potential to strengthen networks between institutions in Europe and organizations which are responsible for PE and PE teachers. This will create an innovative climate for influencing how sport and physical activity initiatives can be delivered in schools across Europe. The overarching aim of the project is to promote an active and healthy lifestyle in children and to foster health enhancing physical activity. |
