Tourism, sports and leisure opportunities and problems discussed in an international conference “Research and Practice: Problems and Prospects “

The University has hosted an international scientific-practical conference “Research and Practice: Problems and Prospects”, organized by Lithuanian Sports University and Marijampole College. Organized for the fifth year, this conference has already become traditional.

107 participants attended the conference. 55 reports were presented not only by lecturers, researchers and students, but also by tourism and sports business community from Belarus, Spain, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Russia and Slovenia.

The conference aimed at promoting public scientific discussion on national and international tourism and sports business issues as well as economic, marketing, management, financial, legal and administrative aspects. During the conference, the processes of tourism, sports and leisure activity organization were discussed. Participants disputed a question on how to become competitive in the international arena; problems and opportunities in this field were analysed.

 

“The conference provides an opportunity for researchers, business people and Management students to share ideas and knowledge, formulate questions and analyse problems. Conference is the place where we want to discover something new and we do, as the right solutions are found while searching”, said the Chair of the Scientific Committee of the conference Assoc. Prof. Dr. Biruta Švagždienė.
