SPORT FORUM-INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE 2022

GENERAL INFORMATION

The annual event – Sport Forum has been organized since 2019. It is organized by the Lithuanian Sports University (LSU) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports and the Lithuanian National Olympic Committee (LNOC). This event complemented the format of the annual international scientific conference “Athlete Training Management” organized by the LSU over the last 12 years.

The aim of the Sport Forum in conjunction with the International Scientific Conference is to disseminate innovations in the European and global sports science and to share the latest research findings with researchers, doctoral and other students, and practitioners in the field of sport.

The Sport Forum – International Scientific Conference “Athlete Training Management” discusses issues relevant to the entire sports community, such as athletes’ nutrition, anti-doping and corruption in sport, prevention of violence and social exclusion through sport and physical activity, challenges of preparation for competitions, control and complex management of training and competition process, psychosocial and educational aspects of training, links between physical activity and health, issues of sport physiology, motor control and rehabilitation of athletes, current issues of sport management and recreation, student sports, and application of technologies in sport.

Every year, internationally recognized sports scientists, and well-known sports representatives from various countries of the world and Europe give presentations and share their experience. This year, plenary speeches will be given by key speakers from Lithuania, Italy, United Kingdom, Belgium and Sweden.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ABSTRACTS

Scientific Abstracts should be structured using the following sections:

– Introduction,
– Aim,
– Research Methods and Organisation,
– Results,
– Conclusions and
– References.

For an Abstract to enter the review process and be considered for presentation during the conference, the following guidelines must be adhered to:

The volume of abstracts – up to 1 A4 page. The text should be typed in MS Word, interval 1, Times New Roman typeface 10 pt font. The title should be capitalized and in bold; the first letter of the author’s/ authors’ name/ names and surname/ surnames should be printed in bold below, followed by the name of the educational institution represented by the author/ authors in italics. The title, author/ authors, and the name of the educational institution should be aligned left. The text should be fully justified. Margins: top, bottom, left and right – 2 cm. (e-abstracts layout).

Abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings, bearing the International Standard Serial Number eISSN 2538-7952, and posted on the LSU online repository. Abstracts submitted in a non-compliant form will not be published.

Deadline of submission of the Abstracts is 18/11/2022. (inclusive)

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION OF SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES

The submitted articles (in Lithuanian or English) should be prepared according to the requirements for scientific articles of the Baltic Journal of Sports & Health Sciences

Non-compliant articles will not be published. Deadline of the submission of papers is January 30th, 2023.

Articles will be published in a collection of scientific articles “Sportinį darbingumą lemiantys veiksniai” (Factors Determining Athletic Performance) and will be posted on the LSU online repository. The collection of articles has the International Standard Serial Number eISSN 2538-7944.
