ORIENTATION DAYS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS PROGRAMME

(September 1– 5, 2015)

The orientation days, organized jointly with the International Relations Office (IRO) and Student Union are designed to help you to know each other, the University and the City of Kaunas.

                                                         It is our way to say “Welcome” to you.                     

1 September (Tuesday)

09.00 – Opening ceremony of the new academic year (LSU Auditorium-laboratory building, Floor 3, Room 308)

10.15 – Procession of the first year students (meeting point Vienybes Square, the crossroad of the K. Donelaičio Street and the S. Daukanto Street)

11.30 – Welcome speech of the Rectors of all Kaunas Universities

12.00 – Mass at Kaunas Cathedral Basilica

12.30 – workshops for students near the Kaunas Cathedral Basilica

18.00 – International evening (ESN mentors)

2 September (Wednesday)

11.00        – Meeting with the staff of the International Relations Office. Meeting point – Central Building (CB) room 218)

12.00 – Tour around the LSU Campus

14.30 – Tour of the city Kaunas (free of charge).  Meeting point – Dormitory lobby at 14.00

16.30 – Lithuanian dinner at Restaurant “Pompėja“ (Free of charge).

3 September (Thursday)

10.00 – 11.00 Lithuanian Language, Culture and History (CB – 218)

11.00 – 12.00 Info meeting (CB – 218)

18.00 – International evening (ESN mentors)

4 September (Friday)

10.00        – 11.00 Lithuanian Language, Culture and History (CB – 218)

12.15 – 17.00 Team-building at the adventure Park “Uno Park” (www.uniparks.lt). Be ready for adventures and swimmingJ Meeting point – Dormitory lobby

5 September (Saturday)

09.00 – Sports Fiesta and “Ąžuolynas (Oak tree forest)” run (5, 10, 15 km)
