LSU will organize a scientific-methodical conference on wellness in Kazakhstan

  The representatives of Lithuanian Sports University Dr. Simona Pajaujienė and Dr. Aurimas Mačiukas have paid a visit to Almaty (Kazakhstan) to implement the project “Improvement of Reputation and Prestige of Lithuanian Higher Education Institutions in Kazakhstan. Popularisation of Studies in Lithuania”. LSU has been participating in the project for several years. Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU), the project coordinator, introduced Lithuanian higher education institutions during the first conference in Almaty “Опыт внедрения инноваций в области высшего медицинского образования в Литве и в Нидерландах” (“The Experience of Introduction of Innovations in the Field of Higher Medical Education in Lithuania and in the Netherlands. The representatives of LSU participated in the conference, got acquainted with the team from Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, gained experience and discussed a scientific-methodical conference on the topic of wellness. The conference will be organized by LSU together with Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism (KSTA) in Almaty in April 2017.

  The project “Improvement of Reputation and Prestige of Lithuanian Higher Education Institutions in Kazakhstan. Popularisation of Studies in Lithuania” provides financial support for the organization of such events and introduction of higher education institutions in Kazakhstan. During the visit, bachelor, master and PhD student exchange issues, internship opportunities, presentation of the upcoming conference and content of the programme were discussed with the representatives of KSTA.

  LSU degree programmes delivered in the English language and European health standards will be presented at the conference of 2017. Moreover, student attraction to such study programmes as “Physical Activity and Lifestyle” and “Sports Management and Tourism” will be enhanced. LSU researchers will share the results of the research conducted.
