LSU participates in ICOACHGIRLS project

The ICOACHGIRLS partner meeting took place on the 6th and 7th September 2022 in Dublin Ireland, with representatives from all partner organizations (Sport Coaching Europe, Leeds Beckett University, Sport Ireland, Hungarian Coaches Association, Lithuanian Sports University, FIBA, NOC*NSF, and Special Olympics).

The overall aim of the project is to increase female participation in youth sport through two objectives: 1. Increasing physical activity and sport participation amongst primary school age girls. 2. Increasing the number, competence and confidence of female coaches.

Dr Ruth Brazier, recently employed by Leeds Beckett will manage the project on behalf of Sport Coaching Europe. During the meeting, all work packages were discussed and delivery teams were put in place for all of them. The next meeting will take place in October 2022.

We would like to thank all attending partners and especially Sport Ireland Coaching for hosting.
