LSU participated in an international student and teacher week “The PAL International Week”

The first international student and teacher week “The PAL International Week” and the 4th international meeting of the Consortium of EU universities “European Bachelor in Physical Activity and Lifestyle” took place at Sport Sciences School of Rio Maior (Portugal).

The international event was attended by students and teachers from Lithuanian Sports University, Hanze University (Netherlands), INHolland University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), Sport Sciences School of Rio Maior (Portugal) and others. The aim of this event was to provide opportunities for all the members of the Consortium community to share the experience on the programme "European Bachelor of Physical Activity and Lifestyle” and at the same time promote the internationalization of each institution.

During the International Week, the present situation of the study programme of the Consortium institutions "European Bachelor of Physical Activity and Lifestyle" was analysed, the process of programme improvement and optimization opportunities was discussed, lectures for students were delivered, and events for International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (April 6th) and World Health Day (April 7th) were organized. Moreover, common information platform of the Consortium was presented and study programme communication plan was approved. Consortium members met and discussed the nuances of further development and cooperation possibilities with the representatives of the University of Malaga (Spain). Both teachers and students actively participated in the discussion on the results of the programme implementation, vision of the future and career expectations.

The Consortium of the Universities ensures international management of the study programme “European Bachelor of Physical Activity and Lifestyle”. The consortium consists of Hanze University (Netherlands), INHolland University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), Sport Sciences School of Rio Maior (Portugal), University of Southern Denmark (Denmark), University of Rome "Foro Italico" (Italy), Lithuanian Sports University and European Network of Sport Science, Education and Employment. The Consortium is responsible for the implementation of the uniform content of the study programme and academic quality.
