LSU Master degree student has participated in an international scientific conference in Sweden

Late in June, Malmö (Sweden) hosted the 20th Annual Congress of the European College of Sport Science. 2343 participants from 74 countries took part in the event, which included an international scientific conference on the latest research from around the world related to sport, physical activity and health. LSU Master degree student of Physical Activity and Public Health Vita Karvelytė attended the conference as a volunteer and presented her research “Is Physical Activity of Adolescents and Their Best Classmates Associated? A Pilot Study in Lithuanian, Norwegian and Swedish High Schools”.

“In Malmö, I gained invaluable experience, saw the backstage of a large international scientific event and met with young scientists from different countries with whom we plan to cooperate in joint research. Conference organizers also gave a chance to meet with sport scientists who expressed a desire to come to our university and share their experiences. I am very pleased that I met with the famous scientist in the field of physical activity, Professor B.E.  Ainsworth. Next year ECSS conference will be held in Vienna (Austria), and I hope to have the opportunity to take part in it “, said LSU student V. Karvelytė.
