LSU International Week brings together teachers from countries around the world to share their experiences

On April 24–28 Lithuanian Sports University will host the 6th International Week entitled “Connecting Research and Teaching in Sport and Health Sciences”.

This year the International Week will be attended by representatives of 32 different partner institutions from such countries as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Georgia, Finland, Israel, Japan, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, UK and USA.

One of the highlights of the International Week will be the International Partner Fair which will take place on Tuesday, April 25 at 12:30–15:30 in Room 215, LSU Central building. Students will have an opportunity to talk directly to the representatives of foreign partner institutions about exchange possibilities, while teachers and researchers will be able to build closer links of cooperation with the LSU partners.

On Wednesday, April 26 at 14:00–15:30 Dr. Joseph A. Quatrochi and Dr. Kelly Evans Grieshaber, professors from Metropolitan State University of Denver, USA, will lead a workshop “From the Traditional to the Unexpected! Possibilities and Perspectives from Programs in the United States”, where they will present how student internships are organised in the US sports clubs and organisations.

On Wednesday, 26 April from 16:00, together with foreign guests all the LSU community is invited to take part in the 3×3 Volleyball Tournament which will take place in the Main sports hall, LSU Central building. For registration, please contact Dr. Aurelius Zuoza: aurelijus.zuoza@lsu.lt

The first International Week was organised by the University in 2014. By this traditional initiative, the LSU aims to further expand and strengthen the University’s internationalisation by inviting teachers, researchers and practitioners from the LSU partner institutions to share their scientific knowledge, innovations and experience with the LSU students.
