LSU Honorary Doctor I. Matytsin: “I am honoured to become a member of your community”

Lithuanian Sports University has got one more Honorary Doctor, as Professor Oleg Matytsin   has been inaugurated in Hospitality Complex “Monte Pacis” in Pazaislis Monastery.

 “I am honoured to become a member of your community. At the same time, I feel I am under obligation to continue putting all my effort to make university sport even more prosperous”, said O. Matytsin in his inauguration speech.

The President of Lithuanian Students Sports Association and the head of LSU Sports and Leisure Centre Assoc. Prof. Dr. Česlovas Garbaliauskas presented the Honorary Doctor at the celebration. Professor Oleg Matytsin is the President of Russian Student Sport Union, 1st Vice-President of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and Vice-President of European University Sports Association (EUSA). 

According to LSU President of the Senate Prof. Dr. Aleksas Stanislovaitis, the University has granted the title of a Honorary Doctor to such famous people as the President of European Olympic Committee Jacques Rogge, the President of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus, the President of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) George E. Killian, and the President of European University Sports Association (EUSA) Alberto Gualtieri.
