Lithuanian Sports University, together with other seven Lithuanian higher education institutions, took part in the project administered by the Education Exchange Support Foundation “Foreign Practices in Lithuania Program – UpinLT”. The project is aimed to improve the integration conditions for foreign students and graduates and to support talented young people to succeed in employment and continue their careers in Lithuania. Thirty two LSU students applied for additional internships. Ten of them received scholarships and improved their professional skills. The students who took part in the project represented such study programmes as Tourism and Sports Management, International Master in Performance Analysis of Sport, Physiotherapy, Sports Coaching, Physical Activity and Public Health.
The students appreciated the opportunity to improve their practical skills and to gain new skills relevant to their professional qualification. As the additional internship was linked to their study programme, the gained experience will be useful for their future careers.
The University is grateful to the host organisations for their cooperation in this project:
Basketball Academy “Snaiperis”, the Lithuanian Sport Federation for the Disabled, LSMU Kaunas Hospital, Fullgazz, Association IVAIGO, and the Private Clinics “Gijos Klinikos”.
The project is funded by the European Union investment program funds.
