LSU and Beijing Sport University have signed a memorandum of cooperation

Liren Chen, the President of Sport High School and the deputy director from Foreign Affairs Office Mei Dong from Beijing Sport University (BSU) have visited Lithuanian Sports University. The visitors came to see our higher education institution, present their university and  participate in the signing of a bilateral memorandum of cooperation. During the meeting with LSU community, Vice-Rector for Studies Prof. Dr. Rasa Jankauskienė introduced BSU representatives to our university, main strategic goals, research areas and study programmes.

LSU and BSU student and teacher exchange opportunities as well as joint research have been discussed during the visit.

A new international mobility activity of Erasmus + programme, which will enable student and staff exchange outside the European Union, will be launched this year. LSU application for student and staff mobility under the Erasmus + programme with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel and China has been successfully approved and will be launched in the academic year of 2015-2016.

The new LSU partner – Beijing Sport University (BSU) was established in 1952. In more than 60 years, this university has become a leader in the field of sport in China higher education. BSU seeks active international cooperation with European and world universities. The university has signed cooperation agreements with 76 universities and sports organizations from 34 countries.

A volunteer from Beijing Sport University, a master of martial arts Wang Junlin is visiting LSU this academic year. She came to LSU to teach students a martial art of wushu at the invitation of Confucius Institute at Vilnius University, with which LSU has signed a cooperation agreement.
