LFF to award scholarships to LSU football specialization students

Lithuanian Sports University (LSU) has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF), which has committed to providing scholarships to students of LSU’s Coaching Systems study programme specializing in football.

The agreement was signed by LSU Rector Diana Rėklaitienė and LFF Secretary General Edgaras Stankevičius.

“Like every year, we want to encourage LSU specialists who see their future in football – in management, organization, or coaching. We have signed a cooperation agreement with the University, we are developing our partnership and we are talking about renewing the course.

We are constantly looking for new people and resources, we invite both LSU and foreign lecturers, and this cooperation is very important for smooth work”, – E. Stankevičius shared his thoughts about the partnership with LSU.

The LFF has committed to providing a total of €2,600 in support to the football specialists in this agreement.

“We are already working and will only work harder in the future to try to renew the specialization of LSU football. The LFF is an organization that has its own curricula, and its own vision, so we can’t prepare students without being in line with the requirements of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).

It is very important to note that students graduating from the football specialization of our Coaching Systems study programme obtain a category B coach’s license, which allows them to immediately get involved in coaching activities,” said LSU Rector D. Rėklaitienė.
