European Network for Studies in Sports Science (EN3S) https://ufr-staps.unicaen.fr/formation/mobilite-internationale/european-network-for-studies-in-sports-sciences-en3s/ was started in 2009 and Lithuanian Sports university joined the network activities in 2017. The network unites European Sports Science universities, universities of applied sciences, institutes and faculties from France, Romania, Finland, Norway, Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, Check Republic, Italy and Lithuania. Lively meetings are organized by the network annually at a different partner institution, where the aim of the discussions is about the enhancement of staff and students’ mobility, the expansion of cooperation and designing new sport science projects in research and education.
The coordinator of the network is Université de CAEN NORMANDIE in France. The aim of the network is to promote students’ and staff mobility, European consciousness and academic knowledge as well as research related to sports science in their broad sense. That is why this network is willing to stimulate mobility through Erasmus+ program exchanges in particular and to undertake joint research and study programmes as well as curriculum development.
The meeting was organized at Lithuanian Sports University at the beginning of May. The participants were: three French universities, two Spanish and Finnish universities and one Romanian and Norwegian universities. During the meeting all partner institution shared the information about the study programs taught in English, about the possibility to join Blended Intensive Program organized in Romania in coming autumn, and planned the draft of Erasmus+ Capacity Building project for enhancement of English language proficiency for students in different kinds of sports.
The participants had a possibility to visit LSU research laboratories, library and experience some Kaunas history and culture.
