Visit of a representative of the Japanese NIPPON University of Sports Science

The cooperation with the NIPPON University of Sports Science continues, which was confirmed by Sachiko Kizuka, a representative of the NIPPON University International Center, during her visit to the Lithuanian Sports University. The representative was interested in the possibilities of the Erasmus+ mobility program, introduced the list of selected teachers and students for the upcoming academic year, discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation, and we extended the bilateral cooperation agreement with this university.

“The NIPPON University representative got acquainted with the LSU laboratories, visited the library, sports halls, and met with Akito Sasaki, a student of NIPPON University who has been studying at our university for the entire academic year. This is the first student of this university to study at our university under the Erasmus+ mobility program, and during the nine years of cooperation, researchers and teachers from this university have been visiting Lithuanian Sports University every year“ says Head of International Relations Office Irena Čikotiene

This is probably the oldest sports university in the world, whose origins date back to 1891. The university has about 7,000 students, and the academic staff consists of over 400 employees. Under the Erasmus+ program, 6 teacher mobilities and one year-long student mobility have already taken place between LSU and NIPPON University. Also, NIPPON University gymnastics teacher Dr. Ryosuke Miyake will be visiting LSU International Week this year on April 7-11.
