The door to the NBA is opening

Vice President NBA Europe  Jesus Bueno Pascual has paid a visit to Lithuanian Sports University. He has taken part at the press conference as well as met with university community, basketball experts and all those interested in basketball management. Jesus Bueno Pascual has introduced the strategies of development, support and marketing of the NBA brand, shared his experience in search of sponsors and cooperation with them and has given answers to the questions.

The press conference with Jesus Bueno Pascual, Rector of Lithuanian Sports University Albertas Skurvydas and Chancellor Mindaugas Balčiūnas has got media attention.

“We are glad to make contacts with one of the most reputed sports organizations. Our attention is focused on sports science and we are looking for partners all over the world. We would like not only to get experience but also to share it. Today we are sending a message to those who are planning to study at our university: you will have a possibility to get a training at the best-known world sports organizations, said Rector Albertas Skurvydas..

Jesus Bueno Pascual assured that their organization is aiming at making contacts with higher education institutions: Lithuanian Sports University can be a reliable partner.” It’s my pleasure to visit Lithuania, the country of basketball. Best basketball coaches are prepared at Lithuanian Sports University. Our organization offers and supports all ideas and initiatives promoting basketball. To the best of my belief, we will find diverse ways of cooperation. Today, I would like to share my experience with academic community and expect our discussion to be interesting and useful”, said Jesus Bueno Pascual.

“The visit of Vice President NBA to Lithuanian Sports University is demonstrating career opportunities for our students. We are aiming at international cooperation and raising the standards high. We are going to make contacts with more partners and give more attention to other sports. Currently, the major issue in sports is unqualified management. NBA experience is significant to us as it is the most successful basketball management in the world. Today we are going to discuss cooperation opportunities. In the future internships with the NBA will be available for our students”, said Mindaugas Balčiūnas.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the pre-eminent men's professional basketball league in North America, The league was founded in, 1946, With thirty franchised member clubs (29 in the United States and 1 in Canada), the NBA is widely considered to be the premier men's professional basketball league in the world.

 Three Lithuanian basketballers Linas Kleiza, Donatas Motiejūnas and Jonas Valančiūnas are currently active in the league.
