Lithuanian Sports University and the Athletics Federation of Lithuania will continue cooperation

Lithuanian Sports University (LSU) and the Athletics Federation of Lithuania (LLAF) have prolonged their cooperation. This was confirmed today by LSU Rector Prof. Dr. Diana Rėklaitienė and LLAF President Eimantas Skrabulis.

The University will implement joint projects with the Federation in sports science, education, sports and health promotion activities. LSU specialists will participate in LLAF meetings, conferences, seminars, courses, sporting and other events. In addition, it is planned to provide opportunities for the Federation employees to develop their qualification at the University and together organize athletics events.

The Athletics Federation will help improve LSU degree programmes, commission research and testing in the areas of sport and health promotion, provide University students with opportunities to practice, and invite LSU specialists to meetings, conferences, seminars, courses, sporting and other events.

“Recently, we have been experiencing a shortage of young professionals with the latest knowledge. We will talk more actively with the university about their training, practice and employability. We hope to continue to cooperate with sports scientists, use the latest research and testing. We highly appreciate not only your coaches but also physiotherapists and sports managers of the highest level,” said LLAF President E. Skrabulis.

According to LSU Rector, there has been a recent interest in athletics specialization. “Our university employs renowned athletics specialists who bring the latest knowledge to students. It is very important for us to cooperate with the Athletics Federation of Lithuania, to know their needs and find the best solutions together. We hope that our students will have the opportunity to go on internship and gain experience,” said Prof. Dr. Diana Rėklaitienė.

Lithuanian Sports University and the Athletics Federation of Lithuania have been cooperating since 2013.
