Digitalization in the Coaching Process Across Nordic-Baltic Countries

Lithuanian Sports University (LSU) has a Nordplus HZ project Digitalization in the Coaching Process Across Nordic-Baltic Countries (NPHZ-2022/10033) meeting, which has been held in Iceland at Reykjavik University. It was activity planned according to the project objectives and the aim of this meeting was to prepare the e-learning module for dissemination at every partner institution. Partners from Denmark, Iceland and Lithuania worked on a development of the e-learning module and tried to finalize it to be accessible in the MOODLE system for users.

Previously, the Intensive Course for young coaches had been organized in Kaunas at Lithuanian Sports University and the course Digitalization in Coaching Process had been delivered both theoretically and practically to participants from all partner countries.

The aim of this Intensive course was to get acquanted with technologically advanced coaching methodologies to increase the coach-athlete and between-athlete interactions and try to keep the social aspect of coaching, to increase athlete and coaches’ motivation.

The project is going to end at the beginning of August and gave a full understanding of the coaching knowledge and expectation about digitalization for the coaching process, and offered scientifically-based knowledge about digitalization opportunities in the coaching process through the creation of new shared e-learning modules and theoretical, as well as practical seminars for Nordic-Baltic countries.
