PROJECT DESCRIPTION  This project aims to develop a digital application that supports student-athletes in effectively balancing their academic and sporting commitments. The application will combine self-assessment tools, personalized recommendations, practical skill development, and a supportive international community to promote long-term dual career success.

Objectives

The main objective of the project is to create an accessible and user-friendly digital application that helps student-athletes manage the combined demands of sport and studies. The project seeks to enable student-athletes to assess key dual career competencies such as time and career management, self-regulation, resilience, social skills, and planning through a structured self-assessment process. Another objective is to provide personalized feedback and development recommendations based on assessment results. In addition, the project aims to deliver practical skills development workshops that equip participants with applicable strategies for balancing academic and athletic responsibilities. A further objective is to build an international community of student-athletes that fosters experience sharing, peer support, and mutual learning, while continuously improving the application through systematic collection of user feedback and insights from workshops.

Results

As a result of the project, a fully functional and accessible digital application for student-athletes will be developed and made available regardless of geographical location. The application will include a structured self-assessment questionnaire that allows users to monitor their dual career competencies and track progress over time. Users will receive personalized recommendations supporting their academic and athletic development. The project will result in the successful implementation of practical workshops that provide participants with concrete tools to manage dual career challenges. In addition, an international community of student-athletes will be established through regular online meetings, enabling ongoing peer support, knowledge exchange, and collaboration. Continuous user feedback will lead to regular updates and improvements, ensuring the application remains relevant, effective, and aligned with the evolving needs of student-athletes.
