A prestigious scientific journal has accepted an article written by an LSU researcher and his foreign colleagues for publication

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marius Brazaitis, a researcher at the Institute of Sport Science and Innovations, LSU, has received good news, as the article "The Need for Differentiating Between Exercise, Physical Activity, and Training" written with co-authors from Brazil, Germany, Sweden and Iceland is being published in a prestigious international scientific journal “Autoimmunity Reviews”.

“This is the first time the research carried out at LSU has been appreciated so much and it is an incentive to continue work. Researchers often confuse the concepts of physical activity or so-called physical intervention, which causes the changes in immune system and / or stress.  Therefore, in this article we discussed the main features of the concepts of exercise, physical activity and training as different physical intervention. We substantiated that it is necessary to differentiate and identify exactly what physical activity caused certain changes in immune system and / or stress”, said Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Brazaitis.

“Autoimmunity Reviews“ is a journal with a very high citation index of 7.933 that publishes only overview articles invited by the Editors-in-Chief and written by the world’s best research institutes. The journal publishes the findings based on the latest scientific research on immunity.  “Autoimmunity Reviews“ is the 11th journal among 148 journals in this category.
