Cooperation partnerships in the field of sport

PROJECT DESCRIPTION  SPIEP will upskill students specialized in sport sciences in multiplier skills such as complex problem-solving, digitalization and social innovation to enhance their capabilities as changemakers for improved health-enhancing physical activity (HEPA) levels in the population, particularly in vulnerable groups. The project thus addresses several key topics identified by the EU Work Plan for Sport 2021-2024, notably:

  • “Innovation and digitalization” – Sport innovation in every dimension and on all levels of the sport sector (including the local sports clubs)
  • “Creation of adequate opportunities for sport and physical activity for all generations” – Strategic development of sport and physical activity at local level.
  • “Promoting Physical Activity” – Cross-sectoral cooperation with relevant institutions.
  • “Sport as a framework for personal, social and learning skills and promoting tolerance, solidarity, inclusiveness as well as other sport values and EU values.”

The activities designed by the partnership are related to awareness raising, knowledge building and

best-practices exchange, thus in line with those detailed in the plan. With these EU policies in mind,

SPIEP directly contributes to the Specific priority of the Erasmus+ Sport Program related to

“Encouraging healthy lifestyles for all”, particularly “the promotion of all activities encouraging the practice of sport and physical activity”, while targeting two horizontal priorities as well as: a) inclusion and diversity in sport; and b) addressing digital transformation through development of digital readiness, resilience, and capacity.
