Doctor of Social Sciences Assoc. Prof. Dr. A. C. Pires Pinheiro da Mota from Portugal is paying a visit to LSU

  Doctor of Social Sciences (Psychology) Assoc. Prof. Dr. A. C. Pires Pinheiro da Mota is paying a visit to Lithuanian Sports University. This is not the first A. C. Pires Pinheiro da Mota’s visit to Lithuania and the university, and this time she is coming on the initiative of the lecturer of the Department of Health, Physical and Social Education Ilona Tilindienė. Both lecturers have been cooperating in the area of higher education and research for several years.

  Assoc. Prof. Dr. A. C. Pires Pinheiro da Mota works at the Universidade de Tras-os-Montes e Alto Douro (Portugal). In 2008, she defended a dissertation “Relational Dimensions in Adolescents Psychosocial Adaptation Process: Vulnerability and Resilience in Institutionalization, on Divorce and Intact Families”. The scientist is involved in two international research projects (together with research partners from Slovenia, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Spain). A. C. Pires Pinheiro da Mota is a reviewer of such international journals as “Psychology: Research and Review”, “Spanish Journal of Psychology”, “Journal of the Office of Latino-Latina American Studies”, “Annalise Psychologic” and “British Journal of Education, Society and Behavioral Science” and has published 39 scientific articles as well as 3 textbooks.

  During the visit (23 May – 3 June), which has been funded by the Ministry of Education and Science (managed by the Education Exchange Support Foundation), A. C. Pires Pinheiro da Mota is going to make scientific presentations to undergraduate students of Sports Coaching, Physical Education and Sport and Social Pedagogy study programmes as well as to Master and PhD students of Education.

  You are welcome to join the scientific seminars on the following topics: “International Projects Writing and Enforcement Opportunities”;  “Relevance of the Psychosocial Research and Formulation of Objectives and Tasks”; “Methodological Foundations of Psychosocial Research”; “Instruments and Sample on Psychosocial Research”; “Opportunities of Portuguese and Lithuanian Scientists Project”.  

  The seminars will take place in Room 232 (LSU Central Building) at 10 a.m. on 30 May, 31 May, 1 June, 2 June and 3 June.
