LSU representatives with their foreign partners will implement an international intervention program

  On 23-24 February, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilona Judita Zuozienė (Department of Coaching Science) and Tomas Kukenys (International Relations Office) represented LSU in the Kick-off meeting of the  Erasmus + Sport project “Enriched Sport Activities Program, ESA”, which was held in Palermo (Italy).

  One of the main aims of the project is to develop and implement an intervention program “Enriched Sport Activities”, consisting of sport technical components added with cognitive tasks and designed for 6–14 year-old children as well as children with special needs. The intervention program will be aimed to develop children's motor skills and improve their cognitive and social skills as well as motivation through various sport activities.

  The project is coordinated by Palermo University Sport Centre (CUS) and will be implemented together with partners from six countries – Lithuanian Sports University (Lithuania), University of Palermo (Italy), University of Murcia (Spain), University of Split (Croatia), Sport Sciences School of  Rio Maior (Portugal), Association for Education and Valorisation of Aveiro Region (Portugal), Technical University of Munich (Germany), and Ankara University (Turkey).

  The duration of the project is 36 months (2017-2019).

  LSU is represented in the project by the lecturers of the Department of Coaching Science Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilona Judita Zuozienė and Dr. Simona Pajaujienė and the lecturer of the Department of Health, Physical and Social Education Dr. Vinga Indriūnienė with Tomas Kukenys from the International Relations Office involved as a project administrator.
