On April 15-19, 2024 the Lithuanian Sports University will host its 7th International Week entitled “25 Years of Erasmus+ Experience – Creating the Future Today!”
This year the International Week will bring together over 20 representatives of our international partner institutions from all over the world, representing countries such as Australia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Israel, Italy, Japan, Poland, Norway, Slovenia and the United States.
One of the highlights of the International Week will be the International Partner Fair that will take place on Wednesday, 17 April from 13:00 till 15:30 in Room 218, LSU Central Building. Students will have an opportunity to talk directly with the representatives of foreign partner institutions and receive information materials on academic exchange opportunities, while teachers and researchers will be able to make closer connections with the LSU international partners.
Among the foreign guests will be Gareth Long, a teacher at the Australian College of Physical Education and an experienced football coach educator, who will lead training sessions for students from Physical Education and Sports Coaching (Football) study programmes. Another prominent guest will be Dr. Shigeki Sarodo, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Sport Science at Nippon Sport Science University (NSSU), Japan and a Research Fellow at NSSU Coach Developer Academy (NCDA). Besides his research, Dr. Sarodo has been working for Japan Basketball Association as a member of coach development committee and Japan Sport Association as a coach trainer. All teachers who take part in the International Week have their teaching topics integrated into the LSU teaching timetable.
On Wednesday, April 17 from 16:00, together with foreign guests all the LSU community is invited to take part in the 3×3 Volleyball Tournament which will take place in the Main sports hall, LSU Central building. For registration, please contact Dr. Aurelius Zuoza: aurelijus.zuoza@lsu.lt
The first International Week was organised by the University 10 years ago. By this traditional initiative, the LSU aims to further expand and strengthen the University’s internationalisation by inviting teachers, researchers and practitioners from the LSU partner institutions to share their scientific knowledge, innovations and experience with the LSU students.
