LSU Rector: the University is ready for institutional evaluation

Lithuanian Sports University is ready for external institutional its activity evaluation. Self-evaluation covers four activity areas: strategic management, studies and lifelong learning, research activities and impact on the development of the country and region. LSU community (students, teachers and administrative staff) and social partners take active participation in preparing the University activity report.

“All the recommendations provided by the previous experts have been taken into consideration; all the strengths have been highlighted and improved. I am sure that we are ready for the evaluation of international experts, arriving in autumn”, said the Rector of the University Prof. Habil. Dr. Albertas Skurvydas. “I am grateful to the community of the University and social partners for their work, suggestions and criticism. I would also like to thank the Centre for Academic Quality Supervision for regular consultation while preparing for international institutional evaluation. All this will contribute to the highest level scientific and educational development, as well as to the progress of the Lithuanian society in the fields of sports and wellness”. The Rector pointed out vivid development of LSU in the areas of quality of studies and research, impact on region and improving efficiency in the area of strategic management. However, the Rector added that there were still a lot to do in the fields of study and research, particularly in harmonizing the expectations of the University with those of the society.
