Turkish researcher from Ardahan University comes for one-year research traineeship at the Department of Sport and Tourism Management

Dr. Ahmet Atalay, Associate Professor at the Department of Sport Management, Ardahan University (Turkey), has started his one-year research traineeship at the Lithuanian Sport University (LSU). The aim of this long-term visit is to increase the scope of knowledge in sport management with a particular focus on sustainability in sport. Prof. Dr. Biruta Švagždienė will be Dr. Atalay’s scientific advisor.

The Turkish researcher plans to take part in various workshops held at the LSU, to present his research results and to lead discussions on sport management issues with the local students. In addition, he plans to work on joint research projects, publish scientific papers and participate in scientific conferences.

As Dr. Ahmet Atalay says that during this year he wishes to explore Lithuania and its culture, and improve his academic communication competences.
