Prof. H. Diehl has delivered a lecture on reduction of chronic disease risk factors through appropriate lifestyle modifications

Professor Hans Diehl from Loma Linda University (USA) paid a visit to Lithuanian Sports University, where he delivered a lecture “Lifestyle Medicine: Developments and Future perspectives“. Professor came to our university at the initiative of Paulius Jarusevičius, the first year student of the study programme Physical Activity and Lifestyle.

The guest lectured about the links between nutrition and physical activity and the influence these links have on stress resistance and management. Professor introduced his health improvement programme “The Complete Health Improvement Program“ (CHIP), which teaches how to reduce chronic disease risk factors through appropriate lifestyle modifications.

Hans Diehl leads the research in the field of cardiovascular diseases at the National Institute of Health (USA), Loma Linda University. He is also the Director of Lifestyle Medicine Institute, California (USA). His research findings are published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and medical textbooks.

Professor's research reveals that the majority of people with high blood pressure, patients with type 2 diabetes or those characterized by elevated cholesterol and patients with heart disease can be cured within a few weeks without medication.
