Prof. Boris Gutnik: ‘‘The strength of the Academy is young reseachers“.

Lithuanian Academy of Physical Education welcomed a renowned professor  Boris Gudnik  from Unitec Institute of Technology (Oakland, New Zealand) and Moscow State Classic Academy (Russia) . Before the Restoration of Independence the professor had been working at the  Academy for nine years. “ I can see great changes here. There is a very special attention to science. Your strength is in young researchers who have a privillege of  teaching  and being engaged in  research. The prestige of the university depends on the notoriety of research at most. You are on the right course‘‘.

‘‘I often see articles written by your researchers published in the most prestigious science journals. However, there are always ways  for improvement. Despite a complicated economical situation possibilities should be found for inviting visiting professors to the Academy. High quality research is financed fairly well and this could  stimulate the further growth of the institution‘‘, said professor B. Gutnik.

During a one-week stay in Kaunas professor B.Gutnik discussed the possibilities for further

cooperation. He held a public  lecture ‘‘ Global trends in higher education“. He also took part in the discussion entitled ‘‘Mechanisms of motor control in sports and everyday activities.‘‘.
