LSU will cooperate with the Lithuanian State Department of Tourism

Lithuanian Sports University (LSU) is expanding the circle of social partners and will collaborate with the Lithuanian State Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania. LSU Rector Prof. Habil. Dr. Albertas Skurvydas and the Chief Adviser of the State Department of Tourism Raimonda Balnienė signed a partnership agreement in Vilnius.

The Agreement provides for the University to inform about the programmes in the field of tourism specialist training, submit proposals and participate in international tourism projects, initiated by the State Department of Tourism, provide information and participate in tourism strategy development and  implementation, carry out other joint projects related to tourism as well as educational, sports and health promotion activities.

The Department will advise LSU staff on the development of the study programmes, related to tourism specialist training; it will also invite LSU experts for research and marketing strategy preparation, implementation and inspection in the fields related to tourism development. LSU and the State Department of Tourism will jointly carry out projects concerning tourism and science, education, sports and health activities; the institutions will enable the University students to participate in the projects of the Department on voluntary basis, and, if necessary, use other LSU students’ help in organizing tourism events in Lithuania and abroad.

Lithuanian Sports University offers an undergraduate study programme in Sport Recreation and Tourism and a Master degree programme in Tourism and Sports Management.
