LSU students participated in an interactive lecture with colleagues from Portugal

An unusual lecture has been delivered to LSU students of an international study programme “European Bachelor of Physical Activity and Lifestyle”. They had an opportunity to interact with students of the same study programme from the Sport Sciences School of Rio Maior (Portugal) via “Skype”.

The idea of an interactive lecture originated with João Miguel Moutão, a coordinator of a study programme “European Bachelor of Physical Activity and Lifestyle”, who was visiting LSU.

During the lecture, students from Portugal presented their group and school; LSU students were invited to visit Portugal. A lecture “Introduction to Public Health” was delivered to Portuguese students; as the subject is taught to Lithuanian students of the first year as well, the similarities of the studies and learning environment in both countries could be discussed.

João Miguel Moutão also made a presentation on “New Professional Approach to Lifestyle and Health”, told about his country and higher education institution as well as student opportunities to study there.

“I am glad that our students of the study programme “European Bachelor of Physical Activity and Lifestyle” got acquainted with the colleagues from the Sport Sciences School of Rio Maior. I believe that such an innovative and active communication during lectures encourages student motivation for learning, activity and initiates the achievement of common goals”, said Vaiva Balčiūnienė, the director of the study programme.
