LSU presented to prospective students in South and Southeast Asia

Irena Čikotienė, Head of the International Relations Office of Lithuanian Sports University (LSU) and Vita Karvelytė, specialist of the Studies Division, participated in an online study exhibition organized by the International Cooperation Agency SIMPLED (India). In the exhibition, the European and US universities presented their studies to the public of the South (Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal) and Southeast (Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia) Asia.

“It was interesting experience not only in terms of communication and publicity but also in terms of time zone differences, online and information dissemination opportunities. Each university participating in the online exhibition presented its institution and study opportunities; then we connected to the virtual stands and interacted with the prospective students. The students could directly ask questions about study programs, scholarships, study and living costs in Lithuania during personal registered interviews. At the same time, we were able to communicate with those interested in sports science studies at LSU on an online discussion platform,” said I. Čikotienė, Head of the International Relations Office.

In the exhibition, there was a virtual platform for video, audio or other information about the university. We could update it and acquaint students not only with the programs offered by LSU but also with feedback from foreign students and links to study programs. Prospective students were joined by their parents who could communicate with agents and representatives of International Relations Offices and Study Divisions of different universities.

“The online exhibition system enabled us to correspond with students throughout the week. Students registered for personal meetings to talk about study programs, the security of the country and city, and employment opportunities,” said V. Karvelytė, specialist of the Studies Division.
