LSU participates in an “Erasmus +“ programme-funded project “Sport Empowers Disabled Youth”

On 24—25 September, LSU hosted a group meeting of an “Erasmus +“ programme-funded project “Sport Empowers Disabled Youth” (SEDY). The project has lasted since January 2015 and is to be continued until December 2017. The project aims to discuss the situation of the disabled youth’s participation in physical activities and sport in different countries, share information, best practices and experiences, as well as create universal research tools in different countries in order to ascertain the needs of the youth with different disabilities and opportunities for exercise and physical activity.

  The meeting was attended by representatives from 13 different organizations and countries, such as Portugal, France, the Netherlands, Finland, the United Kingdom and Lithuania. LSU has been represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jūratė Požėrienė and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Diana Rėklaitienė, the teachers of the study programme Adapted Physical Activity.
