International Teaching Week will take place at LSU

  Lithuanian Sports University will host “International Teaching Week 2015” on the 13th – 17th of April. Nine foreign lecturers are coming from the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Portugal and Germany.

  This annual event aims at increasing the internationality and quality of the University study programmes. Academics and practicians of the highest level from LSU partner institutions have been invited to share their knowledge and expert experience. Aware of the growing impact of globalization on higher education and the labour market, LSU, as many other universities in the world seeks to implement the concept of “internationalisation at home”, offering study programmes an international perspective as well as creating opportunities for students to gain international experience and intercultural competence.

Lectures and workshops will be delivered by Dr. Luis Miguel da Cunha (University of Lisbon, Portugal), Bert Sanmson (Inholland University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands), Mirka Bednaříková and Kamila Ludwigová (University of Olomouc, Czech Republic), Alex Radu (University of Worcester, United Kingdom), Radka Střeštíková and Zora Svobodová (Masaryk University, Czech Republic), Dr. Peter Gelius (University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany) and Dr. Laura Purdy (Edge Hill University, United Kingdom).

 

 Students, teachers and researchers are welcome to actively participate in the lectures and workshops.
