Belgium hosted the second partner meeting for iCoachKids

Representatives of Leeds Beckett University, the International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE), Netherlands Olympic Committee (NOC*NSF), the Hungarian Coaching Association, Sport Ireland, Lithuanian Sports University, Universidad Europea de Madrid and the Royal Belgian Football Association attended the second partner meeting of an international project iCoachKids, which took place in the headquarters of the Royal Belgian Football Association (Brussels, Belgium). The project is coordinated by Leeds Beckett University (Great Britain).

The goal of the project is to pursue innovative education of youth and children’s coaches across Europe and facilitate children training.

During the meeting, all partners presented their work on literature reviews conducted in their countries so far and shared their best experience and practical examples. This will enable the adjustment of training programmes for children and tackling the training gap in children’s coaching across Europe.

The project partners discussed the developed iCoachKids online platform, and ways in which it can be continually improved to best fit the needs of children’s coaches.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Birutė Statkevičienė and lecturer Lolita Dudėnienė (Department of Coaching Science) attended the project meeting.

Another meeting of the project partners is going to take place in Budapest.
