Institute of Sport Science and Innovations is an academic department of Lithuanian Sports University, which organizes and carries out the research in sport and health promotion and experimental (social, cultural) development. It provides university students and researchers with scientific basis and ensures academic qualification improvement.
The Institute was established to help implement the mission of Lithuanian Sports University, purposefully initiate and develop innovative research in sport and health promotion, and strengthen scientific activities of the University. It publicizes the results of research activities in order to meet the issues of public sports and physical activity promotion as well as inculcation of the principles of healthy lifestyle.
