A meeting of partners in the project coordinated by LSU took place

On February 8–9, a meeting of partners in the project coordinated by LSU “Sport against Violence and Exclusion / SAVE” (590711-EPP-1-2017-1-LT-SPO-SCP) took place. University of Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Split (Croatia), University of Palermo (Italy), University of Novi Sad (Serbia), Lithuanian Union of Sports Federations (Lithuania), WUS (World University Service, Austria), DEFOIN (Career Development and Integration, Spain) and CESIE (European Centre for Studies and Initiatives, Italy) participate in the project as partners.

Acting Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rasa Kreivytė (Department of Coaching Science), Acting Prof. Irena Valantinė (Department of Sport Management, Economics and Sociology), Acting Assoc. Prof. Dr. Inga Staškevičiūtė-Butienė (Department of Sport Management, Economics and Sociology), Edvinas Eimontas (Department of Sport Management, Economics and Sociology), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilona Tilindienė and Saulius Kavaliauskas (Department of Health, Physical and Social Education) represented Lithuanian Sports University in the project.

The project seeks to develop competences such as discipline, teamwork and perseverance through non-formal learning in the area of sport; enable young people to work collectively in an organized way; support sports clubs that practice amateur sports in order to involve young people in physical activities; promote dialogue and exchange good practices by integrating sport into daily activities; support the contribution of sport to social cohesion and inclusive society; support intercultural dialogue as well as a sense of belonging and participation through key sporting activities.

The second meeting of the project partners will take place in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) on October 2-3, 2018. The project is funded by the European Union with the total budget amounting to 365,600 EUR. The duration of the project is 30 months (ending on June 30, 2020).
